FM Annalena Baerbock announced further aid for war refugees, calling for efforts to be stepped up both within the EU & internationally. The German government plans to airlift 2,500 Ukrainian refugees from Moldova to Germany. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, with her Polish and French colleagues, discussed support for war refugees & provision of medical aid in the war zone. Thereafter, they paid a visit to a refugee reception facility at the Polish-Ukrainian border to get a first-hand impression of the situation. Rail operator Deutsche Bahn starts operations of “rail bridge” with relief supplies to #Ukraine. The first cargo train was loaded with 350 tons of sleeping bags, clothing items, food & drinking water, as well as medical products.
